Paul Murray, age 62 of Fort Collins, Colorado died May 18, 2011. A memorial mass will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ft. Collins. Paul Stephen Murray was born April 2, 1949 in New York City, NY to Arthur and Ruth Murray. He grew up in the Bronx and later moved to and graduated from Bishop Gibbons High School in North Tonawanda, NY. He attended college in Niagara County and later at the University of Buffalo and a university in England. He was an athlete and avid fan of baseball, football and basketball and he also enjoyed playing golf. For work, Paul was an excellent salesman, like his father before him. He could sell anything, and sold various things over his career. Paul was a very smart guy who would read anything and everything he could get his hands on. He wrote beautifully, including stories and poetry, though his handwriting was terrible. By the way, most of his personal writings are missing and it is requested that anyone who has some, please share it with his family. Paul is survived by his mother, Ruth Moorehead and his sister, Christine Murray, both of Ft. Collins; his brother, James (and wife, Elizabeth Ryan) Murray of Williamsville, NY; a niece, Megan Murray (and husband, Brian) Pierce; nephews, Michael, Zach and Ryan Murray; his aunt Jane Harney and cousins, Richard and Gerard Harney; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father who died at the same age of 62.
