The Lord took one of his sweet angels from us on September 9, 2011 as Pauline DiBuono Faillace passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado. Pauline was 82 and died of natural causes. She is survived by her husband Eddie, brothers Vincent, Thomas and Edward of Harrison, New York, son Joseph Faillace, of Phoenix Arizona, daughter Linda Marsh of Fort Collins Colorado and grandchildren Kelly, Eddie, and Natalie. Pauline was born on January 18, 1929 in Harrison NY to Italian immigrants Luigi and Rosaria DiBuono, one of 12 siblings. She grew up in Harrison NY and was very popular in High School, where her bubbling personality and sweet disposition enchanted all who knew her. She was voted most athletic, and best liked of her graduating class of 1947. On the 19th of April 1952, she married Edward Faillace, and started her married life that would go for 59 years. Pauline and Eddie moved to Boucherville, Quebec in 1957, where Pauline embraced the French Canadian culture and thrived in her surroundings. She was an avid golfer, active in her church and shared many fond memories of her time and friends during that era. All the neighborhood kids loved Pauline "NaNa" whose generosity went as far as getting Christmas gifts for all of them every year. In 1980 Pauline accepted Jesus Christ into her heart as a born again Christian, where her love for her family, friends and strangers grew with the love of Christ. Pauline's faith was strong and she had a very active prayer life. She was always willing to give to a cause even if it was her last dollar. Her kindness, generosity and true love of everyone cannot be exaggerated. Pauline was an outstanding cook and an invitation to the Faillace house for NaNa's meatballs, gravy, braciole, and Italian style cheese cake was revered by any that had the opportunity to visit. Pauline accepted strangers into her home like old friends, no one ever felt uncomfortable at "NaNa's table or went away hungry. A memorial service will be held for Pauline on September 13, 2011, 11:00 at Mountain View Community Church 328 Remington Street Fort Collins Colorado. Everybody loved NaNa, and she loved everyone.
