Philip A. Ray III, 65, of Loveland, CO left us September 14, 2017 due to complications of MS.

Philip was born February 27, 1952 in Fort Collins, CO to Philip Ray II and Marilyn Ray. He attended Westside High School in Omaha, NE where he excelled in sports. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where he received a B.F.A degree. He married Virginia Kimminau in December of 1983. After graduation he worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad as a track inspector, sold cars in Omaha and Lincoln, NE before moving to Colorado in 1986 where he continued to sell cars for a while. His favorite job was driving a school bus for Thompson School District in Berthoud, CO. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, junking, all sports, cycling, cooking, home remodeling, and time with his family. Phil worked with and provided support for newly diagnosed MS patients and was always quick with a smile and a story. He will be remembered as a loving spouse and father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

He is survived by his mother Marilyn Ray of Concord NH, his wife of 33 years, Virginia Ray (Kimminau), brothers, Kenneth Ray of Loveland, CO, David Ray of Sherborn, MA, sons, Philip Ray IV of Federal Heights, CO, Michael Ray of Loveland CO, grandson, Nolan Ray of Loveland, CO. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family, he is survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews of CO, NE and MA. He is preceded in death by his father Philip Ray II.

His body will be cremated and a private ceremony will be held at a later date.
