Ray L. Davis Iii

Jan 9, 1979 — Jan 24, 2016

Ray L Davis III, 37, from Greeley, CO passed away Sunday January 24, 2016 in Greeley, CO.
Ray was born on January 9, 1979 in Hurst,TX to Ray and Luella Helen H. (Boe) Davis. He is survived by his wife, Christina Leigh Davis and daughter, Addison Maria Davis. He was married to Christina in Fort Collins, CO on June 18, 2005. He is also survived by his parents, sister, Jessica Van Thorre, and brothers, Sam and Aaron Davis. He had a gentle soul that loved his nieces: Emma, Mia, Natalie, Abigail, Gwendolyn, Rachel, Hailey and nephews: Alec and Ethan. He was known to them all as the "Tickle Monster".

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Mary Davis, George and Betty Boe.

Ray obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from University of Central Florida. While he worked for many years in Finance, he was not defined by his work. Ray's passions were first his family and second anything that concerned the Denver Broncos; whom he watched every week. Ray eagerly waited for over a decade for his chance to get Season Tickets and looked forward every spring to his annual wait-list letter, hoping that this would be the year. Ray was very family-oriented and proud to be a husband, father, and uncle. Family was everything for Ray. Ray was most relaxed around his immediate family and loved to lighten the mood with jokes and movie quotes. Ray loved spending time with Addison outdoors with summertime trips to the Poudre River, camping, and sledding during the winter. Ray routinely shared these cherished moments with his family via video messages. Ray enjoyed connecting with his family via games and often issued family wide challenges.

Ray's Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 29th at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7755 Greenstone Trail, Fort Collins, CO 80525, Pastor Tim will officiate.

Contributions for the benefit of his loving daughter Addison Davis will be collected at the Memorial Service.

Ray's memory will be cherished by his family for all time.
