Raymond M. Shafto, 90, born in Kimball, Nebraska to Lora G. Woods and Paul D. Shafto, passed away September 28, 2020 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Ray is survived by his sister, Wilma Shafto of Ft. Collins; 2 daughters, Sharon Roe of Poteau, Oklahoma, and Connie Osborne of Ft. Collins; 2 sons, Ken (Diane) Pederson of Bellingham, Washington and Dick (Roxanne) of Worland, Wyoming; 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife Mickie, brother Gordon, son Raymond Jr., and parents Paul and Lora Shafto, along with 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson.
Ray served in the Marine Corp in Korea. He worked for Texaco Refinery in Casper, Wyoming before that plant shut down and was transferred to the Baton Rouge, Louisiana plant. He retired from there in 1985.
Ray and Mickie moved to Roswell, New Mexico and enjoyed many cruises around the world. When Mickie passed away in 2014, Ray moved to Ft. Collins to live with his sister and daughter, up until his last moments.
