Raymond Douglas Brant passed peacefully into glory on August 8, 2025, at 7:11 p.m. surrounded by his parents, brother, grandparents, uncle, great uncle and aunt, and great-grandparents. Raymond was born on October 20, 2024, at 7:46 a.m. in the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado, at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Children's Hospital to the loving parents of Dylan and Lauren Brant.
Though his time with us was all too brief, his sweet spirit brought immense joy and love into everyone's life who knew him.
Raymond also called Ray Ray by big brother Lukas, was 9 months when he passed at Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, Colorado.
From the moment he was born until his passing, Raymond loved human connection. Wrapping his hand around your finger, seeing the twinkle in his eyes, and the wide, toothless smile captivated so many hearts. He was a maestro with his hands, constantly moving his arms around and occasionally grabbing the attention of the doctors and nurses. Sock mittens became a common outfit for Raymond but that didn't stop him from being a maestro.
He was fond of sounds, opening his eyes wide and raising his eyebrows when Lukas turned a twisty toy, and during peek-a-boo. Raymond's feet hit the keys before his hands as he showed off his musical talents across two hospitals.
His favorite pastime was snuggling in the recliner with his parents and grandparents, often falling asleep for hours. He also loved sitting in his bouncer and high chair where he could look into the hallway at the people walking by. He became the unofficial hallway monitor of the NICU.
Raymond loved to connect with his family and medical team; knowing no stranger much like his great-grandpas, Raymond and Doug.
Raymond is survived by his parents Dylan and Lauren Brant; brother Lukas; grandparents: Robert and Valerie Brant, and Sean and Becki O'Brien; great grandparents: Raymond and Judy Cummins, Betty Jean Cummins, Ellen Dunbar, Douglas Burford, and Carol Cornish; uncle Austin Brant; cousin Carter; and numerous extended family members.
Preceded by Robert and Phyllis Butts and numerous extended family members.

In this moment of sorrow, we find comfort in the promise of Jesus and the hope that comes from His eternal love. We know Raymond is now cradled in the arms of angels, surrounded by peace and light.
We will forever cherish the memories we created and the unconditional love he inspired in us all. The family asks to honor Raymond's memory by holding our loved ones close and celebrating each precious moment we share.
"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'"
