Rita Remillard

Rita Remillard, age 90 of Fort Collins, Colorado died Friday, January 21, 2011 at Columbine West Health & Rehab Facility. Cremation has been completed and a memorial service was held in the Front Range Baptist Church in Ft. Collins. Rita Surprenant was born October 21, 1920 in LaColle, Quebec, Canada. She was one of thirteen children of Victor and Agnes Surprenant. She married Roger Marcel Remillard in Quebec in 1940 and soon after, they moved to Albany, New York. They lived in and raised their family in Albany for many years. Roger died in 1983 and Rita finally moved to Fort Collins nine years ago due to failing health. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Columbine West and New Mercer Commons for over eight years of loving care they provided to Rita.. Rita is survived by two daughters, Joyce (and Daniel) Kiskis of Ft. Collins and Joan (and Deacon Carl) Hilston of Nashua, NH; a son, Roger Remillard (and Yana) of Windsor, CO; two sisters, Pierette Raciot and Nicole Tremblay, both of Quebec; ten grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Rita was preceded in death by her other son, Robert Remillard.
