Robert Allen Ausenhus

d. Sep 18, 2024

Robert Allen Ausenhus passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, and because of his deep faith in Jesus is now at home in heaven. Bob was born in Mason City, IA and raised on a farm in nearby Hanlontown. He began college at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Intending to return to the family farm, he transferred to Iowa State University in his sophomore year, where he went on to earn a B.S. degree in vocational education and a M.S. degree in agricultural economics. Upon graduation, he moved to Loveland, CO, where he lived out his calling by practicing law for 51 years before retiring at age 80.

He is survived by Fran Ausenhus, his loving wife of 65 years, and a loving extended family: Scott and Mary Kay Ausenhus, Dave and Pam Ausenhus, Mark and Ann Ausenhus, Steve and Cori Ausenhus, Diep Nguyen, Grace and John Hockman, Kirsten and Andrew Dufault(Jordan, Harper and Joelle), Matthew Nguyen, Luke and Kierra Ausenhus (Wren), Rachel and Patrick Abiah, Laura and Drake VanRoekel (Selah), Amy and Matt Tse, Caryn Ausenhus, Hannah and Terrel Stoltzfus (Rhett), and Kaari and Gavin Schade.
