Robert Biesk

Denver interior designer Robert Biesk passed away February 27, 2023 surrounded by all his family who cared for him. Robert was born August. 14, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Mary Alice LaPointe and Robert Joseph Biesk.

Robert moved to Denver, Colorado in around 1943. He attended Mountair High School where he met his future wife Theresa P. Mazzuca. Robert and Theresa were married on January 9, 1955 and moved to Westminster, Colorado in 1957. They were married for 38 years until her passing on October 21, 1993.

Bob served honorably in the Navy from 1953 – 1955. After working as a Window Trimmer at the Denver Dry Goods in Denver, Robert went on to work at Hal Lipstein's Design Forum in Cherry Creek the city's leading contemporary furniture design store in the 60's & 70's. There, some of Robert's prominent work include designing numerous iterations of Foster & Sons jewelry store, several ski condos in Vail and Aspen, and Governor Richard Lamb's office at the Governor's Mansion.

Throughout his life Robert was a passionate photographer who loved focusing on the Colorado landscape. Upon retiring Bob returned to his love of painting, enjoyed following the burgeoning Denver art scene, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Robert is survived by his brother Ed Biesk, his three children, Rob Biesk, Adam Biesk, Marci Pilon, and their spouses Nandini Biesk, Sara Berger, & John Pilon III. Bob is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on March 6th at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 7595 N Federal Blvd, Westminster with a reception to follow at the Westminster Los Arcos Mexican restaurant at 3:00 p.m. Robert will be buried next to Theresa at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
