Robert E. Cochran, 73, of Fort Collins passed away Sunday June 9th at home of lung cancer.
Bob was born May 18, 1940 in Sterling, CO to Cecil L. and Leona L. (Lee) Cochran. Bob graduated from Sterling High School in 1958.
Bob was in the business machine repair business for many years. He retired from Hewlett Packard in 2001 after 18 years with the company. Bob had been a member of the Canyon City Jaycees and most recently a member of the Poudre Valley Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America.
Bob enjoyed his family and life long friendships with his Sterling classmates.
Bob is survived by his wife Carol (Kinkead) and loving doggie Lucky; daughter Julie Cochran and Chris Walker of Fort Collins; step- daughter Weslee Parker and husband Gideon of French Town, NJ; step-son John Parker of Fort Collins; step-daughter Fran Parker of Boulder; brother Ronald Cochran and wife Maria of Centennial; sister Linda Thoma and husband Rod of Hudson; brother-in-law Jim Kinkead and wife Dolores of Boulder; and nieces Shawna and Michelle Kinkead of Boulder. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-son Tim Parker and former spouse and friend Charlene Cochran.
Bob has donated his body to science. There will be an informal celebration of life at a later date.
