Robert Conway

Jan 4, 1954 — Jan 19, 2008

Robert E. Conway, of 3916 Terry Lake Rd., Fort Collins, died Saturday, January 19th of complications due to cancer at the age of 54. Bob lived in Fort Collins for thirty years. During that time, he was a devoted employee of the Tunnel Water Supply and Storage Company. He is survived by Mickey, his loving wife of 12 years (3 by the February 29th anniversary date), his step children, Tim, Brad and Katie, his mother and father, Corinne and Gene Conway of his hometown of Greenwich, Connecticut, and his two sisters, Patty, also of Greenwich, CT. and Claudia of Malverne, Long Island. Everyone who knew Bob would say he was a loving husband, a dedicated and hard working employee, a fiercely loyal friend, and an honest and forthright man. He dearly loved the mountains, nature, the environment, and his job, and celebrated these joys every moment he could by virtue of an uncanny wit and charm (and quite a bit of sarcasm) with his many friends and his loving family. A small memorial service at Our Savior's Lutheran Church was held for family on Tuesday, January 22nd. However, a much larger memorial service for all of Bob's friends will be planned for July and announced at that time. We will all meet in the mountains to celebrate Bob's life and help spread his ashes at his beloved tunnel in the Laramie River Valley.
