Robert (Bob) M. Aragon was born on July 12, 1938 in Denver, Colorado to Jess and Margaret Aragon. Bob was a practicing Roman Catholic and went to his eternal rest on December 23, 2014. Bob was a man of many talents, a hard worker, and a man with many friends. He never refused to help those in need. He had a great personality with a funny sense of humor. He taught his three children how to work hard by his example.
He was employed by Monfort of Colorado for twelve years. Along with his family, he ran a logging business which included United States Forest Service contracting for seven years. After the "roost was empty" he and his wife, Bernadette began foster care parenting, and for ten years they cared for over one hundred teenage boys. At any given time they had four boys living in their home. They won several awards for being great caregivers, and changed the lives of many young adults. Up until Bob began having health problems, he spent the last ten years of his life building, selling, and delivering custom-built storage sheds.
He leaves behind his loving wife of fifty two years, Bernadette Aragon. She stayed by his side every step of their married life, even working with him in their various business ventures. He often referred to her as "Saint Bernadette", and she was his faithful caregiver until the very end.
Bob and Bernadette have two sons, Jess Robert Aragon (Cindi) and Matthew Aragon, and one daughter, Edith Melanie Dore. He is also survived by two grandsons, Ethan Merrick Aragon, and Nicholas Robert Dore, and two granddaughters, Brandi Lyn Broadley (Sean), and Jordan Lee Rubiano, and one great granddaughter, Bianca Jordan Broadley. He had five sisters and two brothers, Rosalie (Bob, deceased), Irene (Joe), Kathy (Ivan), Louise, Jessica (Jake), and two brothers, Anthony and Joseph. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Anthony, brother-in-law Bob, and niece, Roberta.
He will be greatly missed. "Eternal Light Shine Upon Him and May All Souls of the Faithful Departed Through the Mercy of God Rest in Peace".
