Robert Nieder, 80, of Fort Collins died January 5, 2010. He was born in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Carl and Lydia Nieder. Robert grew up in Colorado and was a graduate of Loveland High School and the University of Colorado. He was a State Farm agent and then an independent insurance broker. From 1951 to 1953, Robert served in the United States Army, a veteran of the Korean War. Robert met his wife-to-be, Lois, at the University of Colorado in the summer of 1955. Married that same year, they had six children: Jill (Kevin) Coxon, Jennifer Reynolds, Jocelyn, Jeffrey (Charlotte), Jeannine, and Judy (Randy) Nieder-Stewart; eight grand children: Derek Coxon, Brett Coxon, Lindsey Coxon, Marimae (Jeff) Lavallee, Lannette Nieder, Chandler Nieder, Hannah Nieder and Kylie Nieder Stewart; and two great-grand children: Brooke and Jeffrey Lucas. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. One of his greatest joys was family gatherings on Sundays and holidays. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his family above, he is survived by his brother, Ed (Pat) Nieder of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and grandson Derek. In accordance with Robert's wishes, a family graveside service, with military honors will be held. Please say prayers of remembrance.
