Robert Omodt, age 79, June 3rd, in hospice care, after a two-decade battle with aggressive prostate cancer. His youth was spent in Minneapolis and the cornfields of northern Iowa. After graduating from the State University of Iowa (now the U. of Iowa – Hawkeye country), he and Margaret were married. His career with JC Penney took them to several locations and eventually to Fort Collins. In retirement they enjoyed memorable trips – the U.S., Canada, and abroad. For sixteen years, he was co-leader of a local prostate cancer support group. Also, he was a member of Immanuel Lutheran in Loveland. His parents and only brother preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, a sister, two sons, and daughters-in-law; three grandchildren, other dear family, members, friends, and neighbors. He never met a stranger, nor a tool he didn't like. A Celebration of Life is pending.
