Robert "Wade" Sibila

On Tuesday December 13, Wade Sibila, beloved husband, father & grandfather passed peacefully in his home at the age of 70. Wade was born June 29, 1952 in Massillon, Ohio to Robert F. Sibila and M. Jean Sibila. He worked hard at picking on his younger sisters Barb & Paula and raising cane with people like Larry who became lifelong friends.

After attending the University of Illinois, Wade began working for the BNSF Railroad. He was dedicated and passionate about his work during his 40 year career with the railroad. Once retiring, there was a lot more time to spend with grandkids and attend their activities. Also during retirement, Wade dedicated a large amount of his time serving Only Son Ministries to support the homeless.

In addition to grandkids, Wade loved to take vacations with Donna, always making time to travel to new places. Most recently, they visited the Big Island in Hawaii. Wade was adventurous and pushed others around him to try new things, whether it was an alpine slide, zip lining or a roller coaster. A Broncos enthusiast through and through, he loved watching them in person or at home. He worked hard to indoctrinate the girls into Broncos fans by making Bronco Breakfasts on Sunday mornings. His girls often teased and called him Wonder Wade – he enjoyed so many hobbies and was somehow always good at what he tried. He loved racquetball and was an avid golfer and could make most look like amateurs, while also giving pointers on how they could improve their game. He spent a lot of time over the past years helping to coordinate his group's golf outings and ensuring tee times were set for the whole group.

Family was always important to Wade and he was surrounded by love all the way to the end. He is survived by his loving wife Donna, daughters Natalie (Brady) Terrell, Nicole (Gavin) Rooney, and Jessica (Brad) DeLong, Step-daughters Brenna Blum & Cecilia Blum, and younger sisters Barb Sibila and Paula (Anthony) Polley. He is also survived by a brood of grandchildren that he cherished, Parker, Cathleen, Brody, Braden, Brand, Landry, Dylan, Hadley and Brooklynn. Wade was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Elizabeth Sibila.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Wade's name to Meadowlark Church, Homeless Ministry (2810 Meadowlark Ave, Fort Collins, CO, 80526) or to the American Cancer Society.

Services for Wade will be held on Friday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. at Meadowlark Church, 2810 Meadowlark Avenue, Fort Collins, CO 80526.
