Robert Dale Willox

Robert Dale Willox, 75, of Brighton, CO, formerly of Fort Collins, died peacefully at home on May 26, 2016. Bob was born to Dale and Julia (Wassinger) Willox on July 16, 1940 in Fort Collins. He attended elementary school at St. Joseph's Catholic School and graduated from Cache La Poudre High School in LaPorte in 1958.

Bob married Jeanette (Ehrlich) on February 9, 1963, celebrating 53 years of marriage.
Bob was a journeyman electrician for 40 years. He retired from Rocky Flats in 2002. He built their first home on North Shields when he was 23 years old. He loved wood working and anything that had an engine. There wasn't anything that he could not fix. He was proud of his Scottish and French heritages. Willox Lane in Fort Collins was named after Bob's grandfather, Charles Willox.

Bob will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Jeanette, four children and five grandchildren: Colene Willox of Brighton, CO, Daniel Willox ((Janette Davis) of Austin, Texas, Cheryl (Jonathan) Richards of Berthoud, CO, and Charles (Maria) Willox of Fayetteville, AR; grandchildren Robert Chamberlain, Jacklyn Sherrill, Ricky Sherrill, Meghan Willox and Paige Willox. Additional survivors include his sisters: Sharon Grandi (Michael Mortiz), Susan (Mark) Last, and Mary (Brett) Lockard; brothers-in-law Allen Ehrlich (Arlene Buxbum), Charles (Delores) Ehrlich and sister-in-law Joy Schneider. And he held a very special love for his aunt Luella Sutton of Fort Collins, CO.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ken Willox, and brother-in-law Kenneth Schneider. He is loved by many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, June 2nd at St. Joseph Catholic Church, concluding with a Rosary at 6:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held, beginning at 9:30 AM on Friday, June 3rd at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A reception will be at the church following the mass. Interment, 1:30 PM, Friday June 3rd at Grandview Cemetery.
