Ronald Dean Weers, 90, of Fort Collins, CO, passed away Dec. 7, 2020. He was born in Haxtun, Colorado to George and Irene (Winter) Weers and was one of 7 children, having 2 older brothers and 4 sisters.

Ronald graduated high school in 1948 from Sterling High School in Sterling, CO. He worked on a farm for a couple of years before joining the United States Air Force. He bravely served in the Air Force for 12 years. Ron was a cryptographer during his time in the military and was stationed in the U.S., Korea, England, and Goose Bay Labrador, Canada.

While serving in Stokenchurch, England, Ronald met the love of his life, Dorothy Larner, who he married on July 24, 1954. Years passed, but eventually they moved to Sun City, CA and Riverside, CA, before settling in Fort Collins in 2003.

After completing 12 years in the Air Force, Ronald went on to become a Loan Officer with Bank of America, where he eventually was promoted to Branch Manager.

Ron was a man who went to great lengths to care for and advocate for his wife during her final years. She developed Alzheimer's Disease and his dedication was remarkable. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed leather tooling and playing golf.

He is survived by his 4 sisters, Carol Wallace, Marian Lemmon, Nadine Hisam, and Betty Eggleston; and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; 2 brothers Norval W. Weers and Harold C. Weers; and his parents, George and Catherine.
