Beloved mother and grandmother Rosalie Therese Mylott, age 84, passed away on April 8th, 2026 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Rosalie is survived by her daughter Janet Mylott, of Fort Collins, her husband Michael and their children Anna, Alex and Grace Strzepek; daughter Colleen Mylott and her husband Jeffrey Goldberg and their daughter Luna Goldberg of Longmont; and son Richard P. Mylott, of Denver, his wife Claire and their daughters Meghan and Katie. Rosalie's husband of 56 years, Richard J. Mylott passed away in 2020 and Rosalie is survived by her sister-in-law Maureen Mylott, a Sister of Charity in N.J.
Rosalie was born on January 16th, 1942 in South Amboy, N.J. to parents John and Rose Tobasko. She was the middle child of three and survived her older brother Jack and her younger sister Carol. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in South Amboy, N.J., and from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J. Rosalie worked for many years as an English and Special Education Teacher in Catholic and public schools in N.J. She resided with her family in Old Bridge and Little Silver, N.J. before moving to Colorado to retire and spend more time with her loving and growing family.
Rosalie was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. She married her beloved husband in 1964 and they had four children, including Judith Mylott who died in infancy. Rosalie loved painting, music, reading, teaching, theatre, movies, singing, Elvis, Jim Henson, Sarah Vaughan, Gene Kelly, chocolate, bargain shopping, food, travel, jokes, silliness, and above all, the company of her children and grandchildren. Her close-knit friends and family will remember her as a heart-driven, intelligent, encouraging, kind, witty, faithful, graceful mother, sister, aunt, friend and mentor. Rosalie and her joyful spirit will be deeply missed.
A funeral is scheduled for Friday, May 8th at 10:30AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with a burial at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins to follow at 12PM, Rosary Service will begin at 10AM that morning at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church for those interested. Father Joseph Toledo will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rosalie's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Meals on Wheels Fort Collins:
