Rosemary Hagthrop

d. May 6, 2022

RoseMary Hagthrop, 87, of Fort Collins, Colorado, died peacefully at home on May 6, 2022.

RoseMary was born in 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee to parents, James and Cleo Kolivas. Her father was Greek and her mother was half Cherokee, bringing a cultural blend to her heritage. RoseMary grew up in Memphis and graduated from Saint Agnes Girls Academy.

Soon after high school, RoseMary met William Hagthrop while waiting tables at the Chefs Café in Santa Anna. The two married and moved to Orange County, California, where they raised their two children. RoseMary was a dedicated homemaker, caring for the kids and volunteering at their schools – from the PTA to fundraising.

RoseMary loved shopping, which earned her the nickname "Ms. Nordstroms". She was always busy and brought everyone in the extended family together whenever she could. She loved Jesus, growing up in the Greek Orthodox faith. And she definitely inherited her boxer father's tough fortitude. Family and friends will miss her happy spirit and will hold her memory close.

RoseMary is survived by her children, William (Tina) Hagthrop, and Judi (Charlie) Woods; grandson, Joshua Graves; and great-grandson, Jordan Eros Graves. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary M. Barrs; brother, Harry James Kolivas; and granddaughter, Alexandra Rose.
