Roy Mccola Summers

Feb 12, 2016 — Apr 10, 2022

Roy M. Summers, age 6, of Fort Collins passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2022. Roy was born on February 12, 2016 in Gaithersburg, Maryland to Rosinetta and Ray Summers. Roy was the proud brother of two younger siblings and cherished little brother to five older siblings. He enjoyed spending time with his family and spoke often of them.

Roy and his family recently moved to Fort Collins, where Roy attended Laurel Elementary School of Arts and Technology. He was the love and light of his Kindergarten class. Roy had the best smile and many staff members have fond memories of seeing him with a huge smile on his face. He brought smiles and joy to everyone he met. Roy loved to play soccer and basketball during recess and loved to build puzzles and play Legos.

Roy loved trains and buses. One of his favorite activities was being tickled. Roy will be missed by everyone that his precious, little life touched, and he will forever remain in our hearts.

Roy was a ray of sunshine and loved being around family and loved eating good food, snacks, and fruits. He enjoyed playing and running in the house with Kyra and playing with his toy trucks and being tickled by his uncles. May the Lord hold Roy in His loving arms and bless him with all the fruits of heaven. Thank all who said a prayer, sent cards, phone calls giving their condolences during a time such as this is very much appreciated.

Roy was preceded in death by the Summers' family -- Durray M. Summers (Father) Washington, DC and Rosinetta Mackall (Mother) Silver Spring, MD/Ft. Collins, CO, Kyra Summers (sister) and seven other siblings, Great grandparents Reverend Dr. Barbara C. Summers and Deacon Theodore Summers, Grandmother Cheryl D. Summers and Sharon R. Summers (Great Aunts) Theodore M. Summers, II, (Great Uncle), Dane M. Summers, and Marchello Thomas (Uncles), Marcus I. Summers and Matthew M. Summers and a host of cousins.

A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 5:00PM and streamed over Zoom. You may join using this link: Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84956714535?pwd=NkxLaEVoSDBqUUFjdmlTWGxnaE16QT09
