Russell James "Animal" Whitaker, 70, of Fort Collins Colorado passed away in his home following an extended illness Sunday March 18th, 2018
He is survived by his wife Rosemary; his sister Joanne and her husband Herb Reed, his brother in law Larry Maaske, his brother John and his wife Cheryl Whitaker; his sons Russell B Whitaker, Joshua and his wife Crystal Whitaker, Troy Powell, Donovon Powell and his daughter Shelly and her husband Brandon Esgar, and multiple grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Alberta and Russell Hanson Whitaker and his sister Dort Maaske.
Russell was an Air Force Veteran who enjoyed working on cars, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of Russell's life on this earth will be announced later.
