Sandie L. Hagerty, of Fort Collins, Colorado died January 15, 2010 at the Pathways Hospice Care Center in Loveland. Sandra Grammer was born February 6, 1943. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Chris Hagerty; their children Diana L. Renner and Robert E. Hagerty; grandson Bryan C. Wilson; her brother Dennis Grammer; her mother Gloria Quagliano; her step-sisters Joanna Bartmus and Debbie Perlman; and her step brothers Mike, Leonard, David and Dean Grammer. Sandie's father, Marion O Grammer preceded her in death. Sandie married Chris J. Hagerty in 1963 while he was in the Navy. They moved to Hanford, CA for short time before moving back to Southern CA. She was a homemaker and mother. When her daughter Diana reached school age Sandra started working as a teacher's aid in Burbank. She loved working with children and continued this for 18 years. A teacher she worked with touted Fort Collins as a great place to retire to, so in 1991 when Chris retired from the Pasadena Police Department they moved to Fort Collins. Sandie was energized by her study of genealogy. She was always searching for answers to her family history. Many trips were made to Missouri tracing down her extended family. She also loved scrapbooking; especially with items of, by and with her grandson Bryan. She enjoyed watching her grandson participate in sheep riding and later in Taekwondo. She will be missed by all.
