Sandra "Sandi" Kay Ackerman, of Fort Collins, died on July 1, 2022, at Poudre Valley Hospital.
Sandra was born in Huron, South Dakota to Milo and Louise Harshman and was raised with her two sisters, Connie Lawrence and Joe Nelson before starting her career at Colorado State University.
Sandra was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crafts and decorating. She was passionate about her volunteer work for Volunteers of America. Sandra loved to get together with friends after volunteering at Panera for lunch. She had a contagious laugh and frequently snorted when laughing too hard.
She loved drawing and going to Bingo at New Mercer assisted living facility and she was winning so much that she asked us to get her a coin purse. We called her the Bingo queen.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Cresta) Wold, and Brian (Djurdja Murphy) Wold; grandchildren, Shannon, Breana, Aaron, Jayme, Mason, Jordan; and 9 great-grandchildren. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Ackerman, her daughter, Cyndi Rust, and her sisters, Connie Lawrence and Joe Nelson.
Sandra was a Mom, a Grandmother and a good friend. She will be deeply missed.
