Sandra (Sandy) Lynn Warteman, age 46 of Fort Collins, Colorado passed on Sunday, July 12th, 2009, at the Pathways Hospice Care Center in McKee Medical Center, with her husband, Alan Warteman, by her side, after a traumatic brain injury that occurred in a vehicular accident. A memorial service will be held on July 17th, at 10 a.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Sandy was born at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH on January 11th, 1963. She was named "the most beautiful baby in the nursery," by the nurses. She was the daughter of Rev. William H. Tilton who died in 1983 in MA. She lived in NH and MA until her 18th birthday. She attended North Shore Christian School in Lynn, MA. She received scholarship from Beverly High School, in MA, to attend Elim Bible Institute in Chicago. She has two sisters, Lisa Chick and Lynda Chick – both from Alabama. She also has two stepbrothers, Jeffrey and James Tilton, and one stepsister Pamela Tilton. Her grandmother, Mrs. Oscar J. Lessard, lives in NH. She has several aunts, uncles and cousins in MA, VA and Indiana. She also lived in Maine, where Briana was born. She also lived briefly in Va Beach, VA in Florida. She became a Christian as a teenager and was baptized at North Shore Community Baptist Church in Beverly Farms, MA. Her dad, Rev. William H. Tilton officiated the ceremony. She enjoyed working at the family's Christian Bookstore, His Storehouse, Inc., in Beverly MA. She had a beautiful voice and sang duets with her dad at church. Sandra is survived by her husband, Alan Warteman, her four children, Sarah, Briana, Robert and Everett, of Fort Collins and Loveland, CO; her mother and step-father, Gloria and Ralph Moore of Hooksett, NH; her sisters Lisa Chick and Lynda (Bonsey) Chick of AL; her stepbrothers James and Jeffery Tilton and stepsister Pamela Tilton. She is also survived by her niece and nephew, her only granddaughter Erika Lynn Santos, and several aunts, uncles and cousins in MA, VA and IN.
