Sarah Oakley

Mar 10, 1980 — Oct 28, 2021

Known affectionately as "Boomer," Sarah died on October 28th, 2021, in Loveland CO. She was born on March 10, 1980, in Craig CO to Linda Evans Preller (now Anderson), and Daniel Gerhard Preller (deceased). She is survived by three children Ava Grace Oakley, Benjamin Mason Oakley, and Ashlee Kerber. In addition, she had two siblings, Daniel Gerhard Preller, Jr., (Danny), and Katherine Carol Preller Brakefield (Katie). Upon her mother's marriage to Richard Anderson she gained four siblings, Jeannette Anderson Jones, Sarah Beth Anderson Hamblen, Seth Anderson, and Adria Stanek. All survive.

She lived most of her life in Fort Collins and had many friends. She had an infectious smile and lovely blue eyes that sparkled with mischief as often as they did with tears. She loved to help others and her heart was kind and generous. She had an insatiable appetite to know how things worked and had to open every package whether it was hers or not.

She married David Oakley (now deceased) in 2005 and had the joys of her life-her twins Ava and Ben in 2007. She worked as an administrative assistant and completed her business administration degree from Front Range Community College.

She loved the outdoors-mountains, rivers, beaches and the ocean-and all animals, especially her dogs.

There will be a time of memories and sharing at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 5, at Island Grill Restaurant, a favorite of hers.

Donations in her name can be made to The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg CO, at this website: https://71842a.blackbaudhosting.com/71842a/General-Operating ?
