Scott Perkins, 57, passed away on April 19, 2015 at his home in Fort Collins, CO. He was a loving and kind man, who was creative, and had a silly sense of humor.
Scott is survived by his parents Harold and Dolores Perkins, and sister Sue Perkins of West Des Moines, IA; sister Cherrie (Cole) Nelson of Fort Collins, CO; and ex-wife Julie Perkins of Des Moines, IA.
Scott was born August 8, 1957 in Omaha, NE where he attended Burke High School and then moved to Des Moines, IA in 1975. He served in the Army in Stuttgart Germany as a surgical tech/medic at General Hospital. Back in the States, Scott worked at Iowa Methodist Medical Center for 20 years, where he met and married Julie, the love of his life. He also loved training his dogs and was involved with the Des Moines Dog Club.
Scott moved to Wellington, CO in 2005. He lived at Harvest Farm where he found God and sobriety. Sadly, Scott could not break free from his bondage to alcohol and it took his life.
