Shirley was born July 11, 1934 in National Park, NJ to Charles Henry Walmsley Sr & Irene Elizabeth (Ramsey) Walmsley.
Shirley graduated from Gloucester City High School in 1952 in Gloucester City, NJ. She worked for American Stores & New Jersey Bell Telephone Co.
Shirley married Robert G. Strang in 1954 and moved to Wenonah, NJ where she was a homemaker. In 1971 having separated she moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she worked in electronics for Motorola Corp. until 1973 when she moved to Hawaii. She later moved to Loveland, CO and worked for both Woodward-Governor & Hewlett Packard in electronics and later Alco Discount Stores.
Shirley married Gordon V. McKee on August 10, 1983. They had many happy wonderful years together.
Shirley is survived by her sons Robert (Vanessa) Strang of Altoona, PA, Brian (Deborah) Strang of Charleston, SC, stepdaughters Madgeann McKee, Deborah (Jim) Hughes of San Clemente, CA also five grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Eve Mae Walmsley along with numerous niece and nephews, but especially niece Lisa Gerelli.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father Charles H. Walmsley Sr in 1954; her mother Irene R. Walmsley in 1992; her brother Charles H. Walmsley Jr in 1986; and her husband Gordon V. McKee in 2009. Special thanks to the staff at Lemay Health and Rehab and Pathways Hospice on behalf of the family.
