Soren Benjamin Nelson, was born November 11, 1981 in Leadville Colorado at 10,100'. He passed away May 15, 2014. Soren was a beloved son and brother and leaves behind his mother and father, Martin and Marla Nelson; sister, Amelia (Mike Stofiel); his uncle, Jim Huntzicker as well as a close circle of many friends.
Soren attended Riffenburgh Elementary, Boltz Junior High, Ft. Collins and Poudre High Schools as well as Front Range Community College. He lived in Ft. Collins his entire life and considered it his home and community.
Soren loved the outdoors, spending much time with friends and family and playing music. He was an accomplished electric and acoustic guitar player. He developed and ran a successful web based business over the course of a decade.
His sensitivity, sincerity and wry sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was 'Soreny' and 'Big Guy' to his dad.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Foothills Unitarian Church, 1815 Yorktown Ave., Fort Collins, CO, 80525. The service will take place Saturday, May 24 at 1 pm.
Contributions can be made to the Larimer Humane Society, http://www.larimerhumane.org/ , in memory of Soren B. Nelson.
