Stephen F. McMillin, age 77, of Fort Collins, died on April 16, 2008. Cremation will be completed and Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, April 26th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 300 West Mountain Ave., Fort Collins. Interment of his cremated remains will be held privately at a later date. Steve was born on November 1, 1930 in Salina, Kansas, to Mark and Anna McMillin. He grew up in Salina and attended Sacred Heart schools. He served his country in the US Navy from 1950 to 1954 after which he was honorably discharged. Stephen met and then married Annabelle (Ann) Werth on April 21, 1952 in Salina where they also made their home and raised their children. He was a police officer for the city of Salina for ten years and then worked for the Saline County Sheriffs Office for another eleven years. The family moved to Fort Collins in 1972 and Stephen worked for Woodward Governor as a machinist for 20 years retiring in 1992. Steve was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of a local antique car club and once restored a 1946 Lincoln. Stephen is survived by his wife, Ann; his three children, Dianna McMillin of Fort Collins, Valerie (and Lowell) Cable of Loveland, and Craig McMillin of Fort Collins; his brother John McMillin of Hays, Kansas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
