Stephen Tallichet Powers, PhD, 85, passed away June 22, 2020. He is survived by children Julia Powers and Gregory Powers, 3 grandchildren, an ex-wife, and two beloved Labs. He was preceded in death by his parents and two ex-wives. Degrees include: Naval Academy ('57), Rice University (MS history) and Notre Dame (Ph.d History). He taught US history at UNC for 32 years.
