Susan Davis was born in Lexington, Kentucky on June 15, 1951to William Khendale Greathouse and Jessie Lee (Greene) Greathouse and died on December 19, 2023, of congestive heart failure.
Susan grew up in East Northport, Long Island, New York. She graduated from Rider University with a degree in sociology in 1973 and obtained a master's degree in adult education from Colorado State University in 1997.
Susan worked as a Larimer County Deputy Sheriff after moving to Fort Collins, CO in 1975. She later became the manager of the Larimer County Youth Service Bureau and finished her career as a compliance monitor for the Federal Juvenile Justice Department.
Susan married the love of her life Merritt Davis in 1976 and was blessed with two wonderful sons, Jeffrey Merritt Davis and Gregory Lee Davis. Gregg married Melissa Lozano and Susan was further blessed with four beautiful, smart, delightful, fun and energetic grandchildren: Laila, Jude, Cale, and Levi. They, along with her sons, and her wonderful, loving role model Melissa, were also the loves of her life. They have brought her so much joy and love. She had a rich life.
Susan is also survived by her brother Gary (Mary), her sisters Kathy, and Chris (Kevin) and six nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Larimer County Food Bank or to Plymouth Congregational Church.
A memorial service will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church on January 23, 2024 at 1:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at the Drake Center at 2:00 p.m.
