Susan "Sue" J. Elam, 58, of Severance, CO, formerly of Edwardsville, IL, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO.
She was the daughter of Allen Ludwig, who preceded her in death, and she is survived by her mother, Joan Ludwig of Wentzville, MO. Mrs. Elam is also survived by her husband of 36 years, Randy Elam; her three children, Mathew Elam of Honolulu, HI, Chris (Jessica) Elam of Godfrey, IL, and Laura (Chris) Hagin of Papillion, NE; three grandchildren, Ollie, Eli, and Addie; two sisters, Debbie (Dave) Ilges of St. Peters, MO and Linda Hanes of Wentzville, MO; two sister-in-laws, Kristy (Keith) Lindberg of Edwardsville, IL and Karma (Ken) Stefani of Plainfield, IL; her niece Sarah (Kyle) Ream of St. Charles, MO and her nephew Mark Hanes of Wentzville, MO.
Mrs. Elam was honored Queen of Job's Daughters and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, CO.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, CO.
With her love of her dogs Dusty and Max, and the comfort dog Cubby, a memorial has been set up in Sue's name for the Lutheran Church Charities Comfort Dog Ministry and can be sent to Redeemer Lutheran Church at 7755 Greenstone Trail, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
