Following her teaching career, she worked for non-profit organizations helping underprivileged children. As a founding member of Heart of the Rockies Christian Church, she was very active in choir, education, and church administration, and helped organize multiple service projects, including many trips to the Navajo Nation in Shiprock, NM.
She enjoyed being with family, reading, traveling, gardening, and spending time with Jack at their mountain cabin.
