Roggen, Colorado resident Tammy Sue Speaker, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 28, 2024, of natural causes. She was 53 years of age.
Tammy was born on November 4, 1970, in Rock Island, Illinois. Her mother was Connie Ruth Jordan.
Tammy was a devoted Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a creative mind and was happiest when she was with her grandchildren, her greatest blessing. As a member of her church, she sang with the praise team, cleaned, and decorated the sanctuary and fellowship hall, and made the best meals for potlucks. Tammy came from a long line of creative and crafty family members. She enjoyed many types of crafts but found her true crafting gift was painting. It is believed she inherited this passion from her grandfather who was a wonderful artist. Tammy created many paintings reflecting her inner thoughts, experiences, and passions. She loved photography and had dreams of becoming a freelance photographer. You could always count on her to have her camera handy and ready to take photos to commemorate the occasion. In everything she did, you would certainly be entertained by her quiet and witty humor.
She is preceded in death by her mother Connie in 2007, her grandmother Ruth Minteer in 1997, and her son Nathan Kuperus in 1997.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Gary, her children David, Devin, Dakota, and Courtney (Nathan). Stepchildren Lana Carroll (Kris), Shawna Fowkes (Jared), and Jana Cassarubias (Chi). Tammy had 18 wonderful grandchildren that will forever be watched over by their angel grandma.
A celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Prospect Community Church, 33374 State Hwy. 52, Keenesburg, CO 80643.
