Tanya Carole Walker, 41 of Fort Collins went home to be with our Lord on January 26, 2009. Tanya was a true inspiration to friends and family alike. She touched so many lives in such a short time. Her incredible smile and cute little giggle was a joy to experience and will be greatly missed by all. Tanya loved God, life, her family, friends, and of course, scrapbooking. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, January 29th at Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Drive, Fort Collins. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 30th at Timberline Church in the South Auditorium. Tanya was born February 22, 1967 in Alamogordo, NM to Michael Stephens and Clara Lou Green Stephens. Her family moved to Ft. Collins when she was an infant and she later moved to Santa Barbara, CA with her mother. She finished her high school years at Rocky Mountain High School, graduating in 1986. She worked as a paraprofessional at Rocky Mountain and Poudre High Schools. Tanya married Gordon Walker on December 20th, 2008 in Estes Park. She is also survived by her father, Michael Stephens and his wife Sara of Edinburg, PA; her mother, Clare Wade Callihan and her husband Harry of Albuquerque, NM; a brother, Brad Stephens, his wife Susan and their children Alex and Lauren of Irvine, CA; her half sister, Dawn Wade of Houston, TX; half brothers, Scott Wade and his wife Prisclla of Maricopa, AZ and Mark Wade of Albuquerque; and her maternal grandmother, Eloise Green of Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, please make any memorial donations to the Tanya Walker Memorial Fund in care of First National Bank.
