Ted Zbacnik, age 48 of Fort Collins, died May 30, 2012 at his home, after "graduating" from Hospice five years ago. Cremation is planned and a memorial service will be held at 4 pm, Tuesday June 5th at Timberline Church, in the south auditorium. Teddy Joel Zbacnik was born June 11, 1963 in Joliet, Illinois to Ludwig and Dolores Zbacnik. He grew up there and lived in O'Fallon, IL as well as Traverse City, Michigan before moving to Fort Collins in 2000. He married Marlene Ostendorf on August 12, 1989 in Plum Hill, IL and graduated from Pharmacy School in St. Louis, MO in 1990. In addition to his work as a Pharmacist, Ted went on several medical missions with Timberline Church; helping people in Guatemala, Peru, Belize and Bulgaria. He formed and encouraged other teams from Timberline church to go on missions as well. In addition to his church and mission work, Ted loved to run; and ran seven marathons including the Boston Marathon twice. He was a licensed private pilot and paraglider. He also enjoyed hiking, biking, riding his motorcycle and most things out doors. In addition to his wife, Marlene, Ted is survived by three children, Zachary , Nathaniel and Mariah; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins and friends. His parents and two brothers , Timothy and Thomas preceded him in death. His family requests that any memorial donations please be made to Timberline Church Missions where Ted used his gifts to serve the LORD and the world.
