Terrence Paul Nabity

Terrence (Terry) Paul Nabity died 2:45 a.m., Wednesday morning , the twentieth of May, after a short tough battle with lung cancer. Terry was sixty-four years old and during his final days, he chose to be under Hospice care at home. In his home, he was surrounded by caring family and friends throughout his last days, hours and minutes.

Terry was born September the twenty-first, nineteen fifty, in Grand Island Nebraska to a loving mother Verla and father Raymond Nabity. He spent his childhood and high school years there growing up with five siblings -- all of whom survive him; Nancy Hehnke, Susan Rarden, David, Steven, and Gregory Nabity.

Terry was an avid athlete all through his school years and lettered in gymnastics on the Varsity team in High School. Soon after graduation he enlisted in the Navy and was sent off to Vietnam where he and his shipmates patrolled the deltas and inland water routes to the ocean on small armed craft. After an honorable discharge from the Navy he was ready for some serious shore leave and took a considerable amount of time enjoying the laid back lifestyle of the beaches of Southern California learning to surf.

After a couple of years Terry found his way back to Colorado and settled down in Fort Collins. His dear mother, younger sister and brother all came to Colorado as well. Terry was an owner-operator with American Limousine transporting skiers to the mountains, and various musicians to Red Rocks and other local venues.

Then it was off to Florida to find his fortune. Having dabbled in the building trades, Terry took up with some of the finest craftsmen available in Boca Raton working with custom home builders and becoming a top notch carpenter and master craftsman himself. Terry returned to Fort Collins after a few years and started working with local contractors, after a few years of time, Terry set out on his own. Many a homeowner from Fort Collins to Estes Park and points beyond are proud owners of some of the finest custom work designed and built by Terry Nabity.

Terry has many family members, friends and associates who will miss him dearly.
