Theodore William Caskey was born on the East Bay of San Francisco on 12/05/1983 to Kent and Laura Caskey. He was named Theodore for Kent's Father (USN) and William for Laura's Father.
Their little family lived in Pleasanton and then in Campbell, CA. Ted's brother, Joseph Paul (1986-2024) completed the family of four. Ted's parents were successful in sales; Kent in the building and construction industry in the rapidly growing Silicon Valley while Laura worked in retail.
Ted and Joe attended Larimer Elementary School where Laura was a volunteer and Kent coached them in basketball and football. They were also brought up in the Christian faith while attending Campbell United Methodist Church where his parents taught Sunday School and where he began his performing career on the altar in God's praise.
Ted graduated from the University of California San Diego with a degree in Anthropology, however his true calling was in teaching. In California he was a regular substitute teacher in his district and in Colorado he was at home using his Spanish to help marginalized children at a center called "Le Familia".
Kent, Ted and Joe were all referees in both basketball and football and although it brought in extra income, Ted saw it's a way to teach the next generation.
Ted was led to SouthGate Church where he was welcomed, saved and became a drummer in the Praise Band.
In their retirement his parents moved to Colorado to join him.
Ted is preceded in death by all of his grandparents, by his Uncle Kurt, his parents Kent and Laura, his brother Joseph (Alyson Ring Caskey). He is remembered by his dear friend Lilia Saldana of Greeley, Uncle Joel Klaff (John Diekman), Aunt Jayne Rosandich (Steven), and Uncle Timothy Klaff (Julianna), and cousins Emily, Sarah, Samantha and Melissa and their children.

Ted died on April 30, 2025 soon after the one year anniversary of his brother Joe's death.
We are in the process of planning other ways that you can join us in remembering Ted. Maybe in California and hopefully in Chicagoland where our family plot is located. As these details are finalized, please check back to Ted's FB page or email his aunt:
