Theron Arthur Mcsay

Theron (Mac) Arthur McSay, 71, succumbed to injuries that he sustained in an auto accident on August 8th 2014. He was welcomed into this world on February 23rd 1943 in Greeley, Colorado to Theron E. McSay and Emery V. (Greenwood) He attended Orchard Grade School, Orchard, Colorado. In 1961 he graduated from Weldon Valley High School, Weldona Colorado. During high school, he was a member of the 1960 championship football and basketball teams and he was active in FFA and 4-H. He had several nicknames including 'Bear' (High school), 'Sonny' and 'Jr' (family and friends).

Mac served in the US Navy from 1962-1966 as an aviation electrician attached to an air transport, he also proudly served 10 years in the Naval Reserve. From the time he was a child, airplanes were a passion of his and supporting our country was so meaningful to him. Later in life, he worked for various heavy construction and trucking companies. Mac also belonged to several organizations during his life including the Jaycees, Operating Engineers, Odd Fellows, OOIDA (Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association), NRA and American Legion Post #4.

He was a very kind, special and unique guy who liked to talk about various unusual topics. He had compassion for many, but especially animals.

Mac is preceded in death by parents, grandparents, numerous relatives, and friends. He is survived by Sister Ann McSay of Fort Collins and many cousins and friends. His cremation has taken place; his memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, September 10th 2014 at the American Legion Post #4, 2124 County Road G, Fort Collins.
