Thomas Schultz

d. Mar 15, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Schultz, who left this world on March 15, 2025, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Born on May 5, 1949, in Ohio, Tom lived a life rich with love, friendship, and adventure, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, A.L. and Katherine Schultz, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion, and his brother Ken Schultz, and his cat, Azzie. Tom is survived by his beloved daughter, Lynn Schultz, whom he raised with unwavering dedication and love. He also leaves behind his sister, Gini Clarke, her husband Charlie, and their daughter Nicole, along with many friends who were touched by his kind spirit.

A graduate of Ohio University in 1971 with a degree in communication, Tom embarked on a diverse career, initially working various jobs that showcased his talent for working with his hands. He ultimately found his calling at Woodward Governor, where he dedicated 16 years of his life before retiring. Tom's work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in all that he did, and he approached every challenge with optimism and determination.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom was a man of many passions. A consummate frisbee player, he could often be found enjoying the outdoors, whether it was tossing a frisbee with friends or capturing the beauty of nature through his avid photography. He also enjoyed painting and puzzles. His love for travel took him to many corners of the world, but his heart held a special place for Italy, where he traveled with his daughter.

Tom was a spiritual man, deeply connected to the world around him. He lived his life with an open heart, a warm smile, and a generous spirit that drew people to him. His ability to forge deep connections with others, whether lifelong friends or new acquaintances, is a testament to his loving nature.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation in Tom's name. Though he was not a veteran, he strongly supported veteran foundations.

Rest in peace, Tom. You will be forever missed.
