Windsor, Colorado resident Timothy Kolb, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, at his home in Windsor, his loving family at his side. He was 81 years of age.
Timothy Lawrence Kolb was born on August 10, 1943, in Tyler, Texas, the son of Mark E. and Bonnie (Brown) Kolb.
Tim grew up in Crown Point, Indiana. He attended Crown Point High School graduating with the class of 1961.
Tim joined the United State Army in 1963 while in Indiana and was honorably discharged in 1966 while living in Hawaii. While in Hawaii, he met his love of his life Ruth Sugai. They were united in marriage in Honolulu, on June 26, 1971.
He was stationed and lived in Hawaii for 56 years. 30 of those working with the Federal Aviation Administration.
As an avid Ham Radio operator, he helped set up the Ham Radio Repeater network in Hawaii at Diamondhead. His radio signs were KH6DM and KH6GRQ.
In his spare time, Tim was a train aficionado, specifically the Indiana South Shore Line. He enjoyed going to train exhibits, often taking his grandsons Andrew and Anthony. He was also a proud Harley owner and a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Waipahu, Hawaii Chapter.
Preceding Timothy in death were his parents, and brother Mark E. Kolb Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Ruth, daughter Keri Kolb, son Matthew Kolb and his wife Maria Mendoza, grandsons Andrew Kolb and Anthony Kolb. Also surviving are his sister Susan Kolb and sister-in-law Elaine Kolb.
Cremation was chosen and his body will be inurned in the Punchbowl National Cemetery, Honolulu, Hawaii.
