Trinnie Aguirre

Trinnie Aguirre passed peacefully into eternal rest on July 29, 2024 at the age of 82. Born August 22nd, 1941, to Vincent and Lucy Ciddio, Trinnie married Frank Aguirre on August 26th, 1959. Trinnie and Frank had four children, Roberta (Dan) Cole, Linda (Tom) Riggs, Jackie (Mike) Riba, and Jason (Sandy) Aguirre.

After the passing of her husband of more than 60 years, Frank, something very surprising was discovered about Trinnie. After SO many years of believing that Frank was the tough one of the family, we came to realize that it was actually Trinnie who was the task master and ball buster! Trinnie cleverly hid this trait from all those who loved her, and this has given all of us a new level of respect for her tenacity, wit, and cunning. By staying quietly in the background and almost subliminally suggesting an action or motion, she could make others do her bidding or make them THINK someone else was responsible for her own actions. It is truly a lost artform of which she was a master! Once Frank was gone, however, we slowly became more and more aware of her trickery…and she became less and less interested in trying to fool us.

In all seriousness, though, Trinnie was a loving, caring person who showed her love in ways not always expected or visible. She was known for putting money into the hands of those who needed it more than she did without ever expecting to get it back. She was the go-to babysitter of many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and even the neighborhood children on occasion. She also had a knack for making the very BEST pot of beans known to any human! While it appeared she was doing nothing special, there HAD to have been a trick to what she did because the beans were amazing. THAT secret will stay a secret, as she took that one with her.

Very adept at cheating, Trinnie somehow managed to win games of dominos and Yahtzee without being caught. Well…not ALWAYS being caught. It would become obvious that some foul play was afoot when, being the last to take a turn, she would somehow fill her Yahtzee score card ahead of everyone else. Sneaky, yes, but we were finally on to her!

Trinnie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, Vincent and Lucy Ciddio; siblings Lena Jurado, Marie Dominguez, Henry Ciddio, Doris Ciddio, Cecile Morales, Butch Ciddio, and Carmen Blackmon. Also preceding her are her son-in-law, Mike Riba, and her great granddaughter, Kylie Aguilar.

She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Aubrie Riba, Kirsti Aguilar (Robert), Dalton Riba (Bri), Steven Segul, Dan Segul (Hailey), Matthew Aguirre (Molly), and 14 great grandchildren.
