Valerie "Val" Grace Milam, 68, of Fort Collins, died Monday, April 16, 2018.
Val was born in Texas in 1949 to parents, Carlos and Esther Chavez. She graduated from Loretto Academy in El Paso, Texas. She and husband Raymond were married in 1971 and began their lives together in El Paso, where Val worked as a dental office manager. They moved to Fort Collins in 1990 and have lived here since.
A very creative person, Val loved to make jewelry, artificial flower arrangements, tole pictures and beautiful paintings. She was a people person and enjoyed being around family and friends and meeting new people. Val loved God and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Collins.
Val is survived by husband, Raymond Milam; daughter, Triana White and son, Daniel Milam; grandchildren, Christopher Borrego, Samantha Borrego Meza, Devynn Milam, Keelan Milam, Jaden White, and Chase Milam; mother, Esther Chavez; and siblings, Richard Chavez, Larry Chavez, Christine Steiger, Judy Munoz, Jan Risinger.
Visitation and Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 pm, Monday April 23, St. Joseph Catholic Church
300 W. Mountain Ave, Fort Collins. Memorial Service Mass at 2:00 pm Tuesday April 24 also at St. Joe's. Interment will follow the Mass, at Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins. Reception after interment, at Sri Thai restaurant in Fort Collins.
