"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." (John 14:2) Velma's place was prepared for her on January 27, 2021 as she passed away at Poudre Valley Hospital.
Velma was born July 16, 1936, to Joseph and Violet (Cook) Fruhwirth in Fort Collins, Colorado. She attended Windsor High School and spent most of her career at Teledyne Waterpix in Fort Collins. She enjoyed to spend time with her family playing games and having family dinners.
She is survived by her husband Floyd "Bud" McFarland, 2 daughters, Violet Wilson and Annette McFarland, son-in-law Bryan Wilson, grandsons Nathan McFarland (Laura), Brad Wilson, Shane McFarland, and Justin Wilson (Alexandra), 2 great grandchildren, Madison and Mason McFarland, and her sister Ruth McFarland.
Velma was preceded in death by her Mother and Father along with a son, Randy McFarland, 3 brothers John, Gene, Howard Fruhwirth and a sister Wanda Long.
Velma requested not to have any viewing or funeral services. The family has selected to fulfill her wishes.
