Velorus Joseph Webster

Velorus Joseph Webster, 84, of Fort Collins, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 2, 1930, in Fort Collins, CO, to John and Frances (Michaud) Webster. He spent most of his life in or around Fort Collins, where he attended St. Joseph's school and graduated from Fort Collins High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954 as a gunnery instructor on the B-26 aircraft. On July 26, 1956 he married Rosalie Sheahan.

In addition to being a husband and father, Vel enjoyed fly fishing and lapidary until he was disabled in a motorcycle accident in 1982. He was a devout Catholic his entire life, and he and Rosalie were founding members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Parish in Fort Collins.
Vel is survived by his wife Rosalie and their seven children: Joe (Diane) Webster, Mary (Chip) Martelon, Jim (Rita) Webster, John Webster, Maureen Webster, Margaret Webster, and Jeff (Shelli) Webster; and 13 grandchildren: Jessica Adams, Chris (Elizabeth) Webster, Jeff (TaraLynn) Semanski, Jaryka Webster, Brandon Mang, Cameron Mang, Tiffany Semanski, Nick Webster, Candace Webster, Aliyah Al Attar, Ameera Al Attar, Hamdan Al Attar, and Khalid Al Attar; and 4 great-granddaughters: Shaylynn Webster, Gaia Everett, McKenna Webster, KaiLynn Semanski.

Services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Parish on Monday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow. Vel will be buried at Grandview Cemetery. For more information, please contact Goes Funeral Home at 970-482-2221.
