Vickie Marie Theulen

Vickie Marie (Schoening) Theulen, often known as Vickie Brown, 70, of Council Bluffs, IA passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023 in Fort Collins, CO surrounded by her daughters.

Vickie was born June 21, 1952 in Odessa, TX. She grew up in the Oakland, IA area where she graduated from high school. She raised her three daughters in the Council Bluffs area where she worked and retired after 30 years of service with Northwestern Bell/USWest/Qwest. Vickie enjoyed working in her yard, lounging and entertaining her grandchildren in her pool, cooking and baking for others, and Christy Creme's lime sherbet. She never drove anywhere without a fountain Diet Coke, loved to travel and had an affinity for fast cars.

She is survived by her husband, James Theulen; her children, Michael Muhle (Kristine) of Lincoln, Jamie Brown of Papillion, Wendy (Dustin) Lutz of Council Bluffs, Carrie (Jeremy) Wilcoxen of Fort Collins; and grandchildren, Brecken Wilcoxen (20), Charlie Schuster (20), Zoe Lutz (20), Brooke Wilcoxen (19), Liam Lutz (18), and Brodie Wilcoxen (16). Vickie was loved by many including her step-children, AA community, countless friends, and her beloved dog, Margie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Norma Schoening, and Glenda Schoening and granddaughter, Allicyn Schuster.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 1-4 pm on March 19, 2023 at Full Fledged Brewing Company, 40 Arena Way, Council Bluffs, IA 51501.
