Wallace Ransom Noel, 92, of Fort Collins, Colo., passed away at Poudre Valley Hospital on November 19, 2025. He was born in Marshall, Missouri, on March 22, 1933, to Roy and Edith Noel.
Wally enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and flying his airplane. He was involved in many business ventures throughout his life. He built two bowling alleys in Wichita and Arkansas City, Kansas. He owned Pizza Hut franchises in Kansas, Texas, and Puerto Rico, as well as Papa John's Pizza franchises in California. He also owned Noel and Company, which operated farms in Colorado and a ranch in Wyoming. In addition, he owned the Out of Bounds restaurant in Fort Collins and Noel Exploration Gas and Oil. Wally wrote a book about his life titled There Are No Bounds.
Wally was baptized and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He also served in the Coast Guard and the Air Force.
Wally is survived by his wife, Pat; his two sons, Larry Noel and Mike Noel; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, close family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Robinette; his daughters, Cathy Markley and Sandra Winter; and his granddaughter, Sabra.
The memorial service in celebration of Wally's life will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 2 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7755 Greenstone Trail, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
