Wanda Kay Haendler, was born April 6, 1963 in Iowa City, Iowa to James and Dorothy Haendler. She died July 17th at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO. She and her family moved to Fort Collins, 2 weeks after her birth and she attended school in the Fort Collins area and graduated from Poudre High School in 1982. Wanda was employed by Vergent Products of Loveland and had previously been an employee at Advanced Energy of Fort Collins. Wanda is survived by her parents James and Dorothy; sisters, Susan Kerbel (husband Dusty) of Broomfield, CO, Sandy Benson (husband Richard) of Loveland, CO, Theresa Eslick (husband David) of Bartlesville, OK; her brother: John Haendler (wife Julia) of Nunn, CO; nieces, Mandi Wild, Misty Standerfer, Elizabeth Fleming, Kimberly Youngblood and Navada Steinmetz; nephews, James Kerbel, James Haendler and Jessie Eslick; great nieces, Mikayla, Trinity, Jasmine, Jessica and Jalynne; and a great nephew, Dylan. She also had two very special "nieces" Jessica and Jordyn Utesch. Wanda was preceded in death by her grandparents Bob and Marie Basart, and John and Thelma Haendler who also resided in Fort Collins, CO. Wanda loved her family and friends, she was always there for them. She was affectionately known as NaNa. She loved the mountains and being outdoors as well as camping, hiking and riding her bike with her friends and family. Wanda had a deep love for animals, she was gentle, and kind, everyone who knew her saw the love and compassion she had for them. She was a computer whiz and an amazing photographer. Wanda's family and friends will love and cherish her and the memories they have until they meet again. A memorial service will be held July 30th at 10:00 am at the Soldier Canyon Group area in Lory State Park. Park fee is required; anyone who needs directions can email
