August 30th 1933 – January 5th 2014

Wanda Jean Hattan, after 80 good years on this Earth; went home to our Heavenly Father on January 5, 2014. After a 13 month battle with cancer, she died in her home in Loveland, Colorado, surrounded by her loving children who were dedicated to her care.

Wanda was born to Alta Mae Lynn and Harry T Riley on August 30, 1933 in Atchison, Kansas. She graduated from Atchison High School, where she lettered in Chorus. In 1951, she married Wayne Huber at her mother's home in Atchison, KS. The couple was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Ramona Jean Huber (died at birth) and son, Ronald J. (Huber) Hattan. Wayne and Wanda later divorced, but in1958 Wanda married Louis Riley "Curly" Hattan in Perry, Kansas. The couple was blessed with the birth of their daughters, Arlene Fay, Charlene Mae and Jennifer. However, Louis and Wanda later divorced, but remained good friends.

During her early years, she was a loving homemaker for her family and later she worked at Woolworth's, various cafes; restaurants and at King Soopers. During the time that Wanda and Curly lived in Kansas, they enjoyed playing Pitch; her favorite card game in Leavenworth, KS with their dear friends, Bob and Ginny McLaughlin and Kenneth and Virginia Betts; the three couples would play to all hours of the morning.

After moving to Colorado, Wanda enjoyed bowling on many leagues and traveling to national tournaments. Later in life, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and going to Blackhawk to play the slot machines. Wanda was blessed with her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she is cherished by all who knew her, will be missed.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Alta Mae, Harry "Rip" Riley, Don Riley and daughter Charlene Mae Kopplin (wife of LeRoy Kopplin of Casper, Wyoming.)

Wanda is survived by siblings, Russell Riley of Seattle, Washington, Ken Riley (wife Doris) of Monterrey, California, and Betty Trower of Ocklawaha, Florida. Wanda is also survived by her son, Ronald J. (Huber) Hattan (fiance Jill); daughter Arlene Fay Bloom (husband Kirk) of Thousand Oaks, California and daughter Jennifer Jean Hodkinson (husband Derek) of Westminster, Colorado.

Her grandchildren include Reid Riley Hattan (wife Megan) of Eaton, Colorado, Elizabeth Bloom of Oakland, California and Katherine Bloom of Thousand Oaks, California. Wanda was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Gabriel Reid and Ashlyn Riley Hattan of Eaton,Colorado.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday January 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Allnutt Funeral Chapel in Loveland, Colorado. Immediately following the service there will be a reception at Silver Leaf I Dining Room at 2100 Maple Dr. Loveland, Colorado. Wanda's final resting place will be Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins Colorado in a PRIVATE ceremony.
