Willemina Steketee

Willemina Steketee (Willy), age 84, died January 31, 2011 of natural causes at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado. Born May 30, 1926 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Willy met her husband John in Nazi occupied Holland at the beginning of WWII. They were married on December 31, 1947 and moved to the United States in 1948. They became US citizens in 1953. Willy lived a full life, traveled the world, saw many things and made many friends. She leaves behind three sisters still living in Holland; one sister living in Australia; five children; John (Liz) Steketee of Augusta GA, Edward (Suzanne) Steketee of Loveland CO, Susan (Richard) Kaszak of Belford NJ, Robert (Lisa) Steketee of Fort Collins CO and Kenneth (Janet) Steketee of Greer SC; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm Monday, February 7th at Harmony Presbyterian Church, 400 East Boardwalk, Ft. Collins.
